Keeping track of regulatory hormones

Endocrinology concerns hormones, which regulate the activity of our internal organs. Among common hormonal complaints are diseases of the thyroid gland, the adrenal glands, and bone metabolism (osteoporosis). We investigate your hormonal status and clarify how we can correct any hormonal disturbance(s). We can examine your thyroid gland and pituitary glands with modern ultrasound equipment and perform the appropriate laboratory tests. We treat:

  • Diseases of the thyroid gland (enlargement/goiter, benign tumors, hyper-and hypothyroidism, and malignancies)
  • Diseases of the parathyroid glands (disturbances in calcium metabolism)
  • Diseases of the adrenal glands (over-production of cortisol/Cushing’s disease or overproduction of aldosterone/Conn’s syndrome, underproduction of cortisol/Addison’s disease, pheochromocytoma, tumors of the adrenal glands)
  • Diseases of the pituitary gland
  • Disturbances in one metabolism (e.g. osteoporosis)
  • Clarification of obesity, hypertension, disturbances in growth and development, menopausal problems
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation and coordination (endocrinology, surgery, radiology, nuclear medicine, oncology, radiotherapy)
